Results are sorted based on the likelihood that records match and presented in a ranked and color-coded display, so that you only need to review the top choices and select the correct patient record. SmartSwipe, our innovative card reader technology, extends the benefits of SmartID to further streamline the patient registration process. With just a swipe of a driver’s license in a SmartSwipe device, your staff or patients can complete the registration process quickly and accurately. SmartSwipe saves time for your staff and patients. It identifies your patients by reading information (e.g. name, date of birth) from the bar code or magnetic stripe of a driver’s license and locating that patient in your Master Person Index (MPI). If the patient is new to your health system, he or she can be added to your registration system automatically.
